Whenever I travel abroad, I can easily download media directly to my mobile devices for offline (on flight) viewing. I have the IPTV Service added to Plex, that Plex treats as a TV Tuner, allowing me to pause, record from any channel (and from any device connected to my plex server). I pay for an external third party IPTV Service ($10/month) that gives me access to 10,000s of channels across Canada and the world. I access my plex media server remotely all the time (Mobile phone, in my car -> Tesla Model Y, when I am vacationing abroad), and I have about 20+ family/friends across Canada/U.S./UK who also stream off of my Plex Server Hardware Transcoding (aka Hardware-Accelerated Streaming):

Plex is out today with an upgrade for its Plexamp music app that brings an advanced neural network to sonically analyze your library to rich features like similar artists, albums, and tracks, custom mixes, and more. Meanwhile, the company bills its new Plex Dash app as a mobile-focused way to maintain and control your Plex Media Server.
